HOPE SABBATH SCHOOL

Hope Sabbath School is a weekly in-depth interactive study of the Word of God

The curriculum is based on the current series of 13 studies, which is printed every quarter.  A lively discussion of the week’s lesson is reviewed by a rotating group of twelve young adults. Viewers from around the world participate in the one-hour Bible study program.

The program was first filmed at the Forest Lake Church in Apopka, Florida, starting in 2008.  With a huge volunteer team based in Florida, Pastor Derek Morris and his wife, Bodil, created over 200 Hope Sabbath School programs.  Each week, viewers from around the world send emails, photos and notes of encouragement.

Each Hope Sabbath School class includes a quarterly theme song based on Scripture. Derek and Bodil introduced thousands around the world to “scripture songs,” taken word for word from the New King James Version of the Bible.  Scripture songs have become a favorite to viewers and participants alike. Previous Hope Sabbath School programs are rebroadcast on Hope Channel as the program, Daily Hope.  This program encourages daily in-depth study of the Word of God.

Currently, Hope Sabbath School is taped at Hope Channel headquarters in Silver Spring, MD.  There are Hope Sabbath School members in more than 130 countries around the world.
